Roebourne District High School (DHS) situated in the Pilbara region of Western Australia, serves a energetic and culturally rich community. Our school is deeply connected to the land and the local Aboriginal culture that has shaped this region for thousands of years. The school sits on Ngarluma Ngurra, the Country of the Ngarluma people, and many of our students come from the Ngarluma, Yindjibarndi and Banyjima language groups.

The Role
As Canteen Supervisor, the successful applicant should manage the operations of the canteen,
taking student needs into consideration in providing a high level of customer service. Ideally, the successful applicant will assist the Principal and Manager Corporate Services in the development of an Operational Plan.
The successful applicant would plan, monitor, and review all food delivery, preparation and serving processes using relevant food safety principles and implement improvements, as neededed. As the Canteen Supervisor you will oversee the effective development and management of staff, provide a safe working environment and create a team environment that supports a positive and innovative organisational culture. You will ideally be able to provide the students with a healthy, well-balanced canteen menu whilst ensuring the financial viability of the canteen.
The successful applicant will ideally possess strong time management skills, the ability to work under pressure, and experience in cash handling, food preparation and hygiene within the Western Australian Schools Canteen Association Traffic Light System. You should have experience in stock control, ordering and logistics. You should also have the ability to build positive relationships and liaise with staff, students, community members, and suppliers in a positive, welcoming manner.

Eligibility
