Our client, Silver Shine Chassis & Trailer Pty Ltd is seeking two experienced Welders to join their team.
Job Description:
• Perform MIG, and ARC welding on steel, aluminium, and other metals to manufacture and repair chassis and related components.
• Interpret and work from blueprints, engineering drawings, and technical documents to accurately fabricate chassis components.
• Fit and weld metal components with precision, ensuring alignment and structural integrity.
• Grinding and smoothing welded joints to achieve a clean finish and meet surface standards.
• Conduct inspections of completed welds to ensure adherence to safety standards and specifications.
• Identify and correct any defects or inconsistencies in the welds, ensuring the final product meets quality control standards.
• Repairing or replacing damaged metal parts by welding, cutting, or grinding.
• Monitoring the heat and temperature of the welding process to avoid overheating and ensure proper penetration.
• Grinding and smoothing welded joints to achieve a clean finish and meet surface standards.
• Maintaining accurate records of welding activities, including materials used, tasks completed, and any defects found.
• Operate welding equipment, cutting tools, and machinery following safety guidelines and procedures.
• Adhere to workplace safety standards, maintaining a clean and organized work area.
• Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Work closely with other team members such as fabricators, machinists, and production supervisors to meet production timelines.
• Provide input during production meetings to help identify potential issues and solutions in the manufacturing process.
• Maintain welding equipment and tools, conducting regular checks to ensure they are in proper working condition.
• Perform minor repairs and adjustments on equipment as necessary to ensure continuous operation and reduce downtime.
Eligibility Criteria:
• Certificate III in Engineering (Fabrication Trade).
• 3 Years of Full Time Work experience as a first-class welder.
• Experienced in a variety of welding techniques and processes.
• Dedicated and hardworking, with a strong willingness to follow instructions and learn new procedures.
• Self-motivated team player, eager to collaborate and share knowledge with others.
• Strong time management skills, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and on schedule.
• Proactive, with the ability to take initiative and apply problem-solving skills effectively.
• Possesses explicit and confident communication skills, both verbal and written
Salary Range: $75,000 to $85,000
Location: Campbellfield VIC 3061
