- Play a critical role in keeping our underground operation moving safely and efficiently
- Responsible for the safe handling and charging of explosives across development and production areas
- Ensure blast activities are completed to the highest standards
- Keep underground production on track by safely preparing and charging blasts in development headings and stopes
- Ensure all shot firing and explosive handling activities are completed in accordance with legislative requirements, site procedures and best practice standards
- Maintain effective control of explosive magazines and support compliance with re-entry and blasting protocols
- Assist with hole casing and provide support across the underground mining team as required
- Contribute to a strong safety culture by identifying, reporting and managing operational and environmental risks.
Requirements
- Current WA Shot Firer's Ticket
- Current WA C Class Manual Driver's Licence
- Dangerous Goods Security Card
- Experience working with emulsion charging systems
- A minimum of two years' underground mining experience
- Strong commitment to protected work practices and operational compliance
- Experience with Hypercharge and IKON systems will be highly regarded
