As one of the world’s leading studios, we are responsible for crafting award-winning content for the biggest feature films and streaming series on the planet. In this role, you will be the creative and technical bridge between directors, VFX supervisors, and our animation team. You will lead, inspire, and mentor artists ranging from junior levels to leads, ensuring that every project captures the director’s vision with world-class performances.

At DNEG, our Animation Supervisors play a key role in maintaining our reputation as a leader in live-action VFX and feature animation. Working closely with the Head of Animation , you’ll lead and inspire a team of talented artists — from juniors to leads — ensuring world-class creative results.
What You’ll Do
- Collaborate with directors, VFX Supervisors, and Animation Leads to bring characters and creatures to life while maintaining continuity across projects.
- Supervise, mentor, and guide your animation team, ensuring they understand and deliver the director’s vision.
- Partner with the Build and Rigging departments to confirm models and rigs meet animator needs for control, usability, and performance.
- Act as the key contact for animation-related requests from other departments.
- Provide valuable input to improve DNEG’s pipeline and workflow , working closely with our R&D; and Pipeline teams.
What We’re Looking For
- 10+ years of CG experience on high-profile live-action and full CG feature films.
- Proven leadership experience managing and delegating tasks within creative teams.
- Robust technical knowledge of CG animation tools and workflows.
- Confident communicator, with experience working directly with clients and directors.
- Excellent problem-solving skills in 3D space, with the ability to anticipate and resolve challenges.
- A team-oriented leader who is also a mentor, adaptable, and highly motivated.

- Permanent staff position
- Hybrid work model: at least 2 days per week in our Sydney studio.
- Relocation support available for candidates outside Sydney.
