Your new role
As Team Leader Rangers, you will be responsible for the leadership, coordination and day-to-day management of a team delivering a broad range of ranger and regulatory services.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading and mentoring a team of Rangers to ensure high-quality service delivery
- Coordinating operational activities, investigations and enforcement programs across a range of regulatory functions
- Managing customer requests, complaints and compliance matters in a professional and timely manner
- Providing technical guidance and support to team members on legislative and operational matters
- Building strong relationships with community members, contractors and internal stakeholders
- Monitoring team performance and supporting continuous improvement initiatives
- Ensuring compliance activities are accurately documented and maintained in relevant systems
- Supporting workplace health and safety requirements and operational reporting obligations
- Promoting a positive, customer-focused approach to compliance and community engagement
- Assisting with the delivery of regulatory programs and service improvements
This role will suit a hands-on leader who enjoys balancing operational responsibilities with people leadership and stakeholder engagement.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you will have previous experience within ranger services and demonstrated experience leading teams within a regulatory or compliance environment.
You will also possess:
- Experience supervising, mentoring or leading Rangers
- Strong knowledge of regulatory compliance and enforcement principles
- Well-developed communication and stakeholder management skills
- Experience managing investigations, customer enquiries and compliance matters
- The ability to interpret and apply relevant legislation and policies
- Strong administrative, record management and reporting capabilities
- Sound computer literacy and experience using operational systems
- A proactive and solutions-focused approach to leadership
- Class C Driver Licence
- Certificate IV in Local Government (Regulatory Services) or equivalent experience
- Ability to successfully complete a National Police Check
