About the role

Myer Group is looking for a Social Media Coordinator to join our Portmans team on a 12 month fixed term contract. Reporting into the Marketing Manager, this role is responsible for coordinating and delivering paid and organic social media content across multiple platforms, supporting business initiatives and creating engaging content that strengthens brand presence and audience engagement.

What you’ll do

- In line with the brand’s marketing and promotions calendar, coordinate and implement the social media communications plan.
- Review the brand’s current social media marketing practices with aim to continually improve upon and provide our followers with engaging content.
- Create engaging and innovative social content to drive customer engagement and interaction. This could include but not limited to:
- Video of behind the scenes footage at content or campaign shoots
- Video content from store visits - showcasing new product range
- Showcase yourself in new product - how to style/wear to inspire our followers
- Film our product team specialists showcasing their vision for product ranges





- Moderate the social communities, communicating in a professional, but unique social media "voice" suited to the target market; directly aligned with the brand’s tone of voice.
- Execution of all social media activities (i.e. posting, sharing, engaging, liking increasing social reach)
- Ensure digital communication best practices and guidelines are adopted and evolve with trends.
- Adhere to and working within budget on social media activities.

What you’ll bring

- Studying or completed Tertiary qualifications in marketing with a focus on digital, creative or writing and related disciplines.
- Working knowledge of retail and excellent understanding of social media and new digital technologies.
- Evidence of writing, design or creative skills
- Knowledge of retail industry and relevant KPIs
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Effective time management and prioritisation skills
- Ability to easily adapt to changing priorities
