Pre Kindergarten to Year 5 | Executive Leadership Role. Five-year fixed term contract appointment, commencement negotiable.

Scotch College invites applications for the position of Head of Junior School, a rare and compelling leadership opportunity within one of Australia’s most respected independent boys’ schools.

The Junior School at Scotch is a flourishing, relationally rich learning community grounded in outstanding teaching, a deep understanding of boys, and a strong partnership with families. This role calls for an exceptional educational leader – someone who leads with warmth and presence, thinks strategically, and is deeply credible with children, staff, parents and colleagues. The successful candidate will inherit a strong foundation and be entrusted with shaping the next chapter of the Junior School’s growth and excellence.

The Head of Junior School is a member of the College Executive and plays a key role in advancing Scotch College’s mission to develop boys of character, curiosity and service, aligned with the values of Integrity, Service and Stewardship.

Scotch College Western Australia is one of Australia’s leading independent schools, with a 129‑year‑old history of academic excellence. Nestled in leafy Swanbourne on 22 spacious hectares, the College caters for more than 1,600 students in Pre‑Kindergarten to Year 12, including over 140 boarders from across the world.

Scotch College offers a learning programme based on the Western Australian and Australian Curriculum and a choice in Years 11 & 12 of three pathways: WACE, VET or IB Diploma.

Qualifications and Requirements

- Evidence of a current Working with Children Check (WWCC).
- Registration with the Teacher Registration Board of WA (TRBWA).
