About the Role
We are hiring enthusiastic and flexible Registered Nurses for our busy medical/surgical ward at Calvary Central Districts Hospital. The ward consists of medical and surgical patients, a 4 bed Higher Observation Unit, and 5 supportive care beds.
Responsibilities
- Use a patient‑centred approach to patient assessment.
- Maintain continuity of care for each patient.
- Evaluate outcomes of care and initiate appropriate follow‑up.
- Maintain a discharge plan for each patient from admission to discharge.
- Uphold the principles and practices of infection prevention and control.
- Ensure familiarity in Emergency Procedures through annual updates.
- Maintain annual competencies.
- Practice in accordance with Calvary policies and procedures.
About you
- Registered Nurse with the AHPRA and a minimum of 2 years acute experience.
- Effective communication & interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated competence in surgical and medical nursing.
- Passion for exceptional patient care.
