About the role
Reporting to the Sales Manager who is also based in Geraldton, the Sales Area Manager will focus on maintaining and expanding Refuel Australia’s market share with customers across a range of sectors including transport, agriculture, civil construction, mining and oil and gas.
The Sales Area Manager will be required to research and approach customers within key regional geographic regions to understand their needs and promote the company’s services and solutions to achieve budgeted sales and volume targets.
Required experience
- 5+ years’ experience in a similar sales or business development role.
- Demonstrated experience in the bulk fuel industry highly advantageous.
- Proven history of negotiating and winning current business.
- Self‑motivated, resilient and resourceful personality and capable of working autonomously.
- Well‑developed commercial acumen and margin management skills.
- Sound computer skills.
- Willingness to travel extensively and often throughout the sales area region.
- Demonstrated commitment to upholding company health and safety policies and procedures to the highest standard.
Additional qualifications
- Qualifications are not essential if there is evidence of successful, previous experience as a sales representative, sales manager or business development manager, consistently meeting targets.
- Previous experience in the fuel industry and or bulk fuel operations in a sales role.
- National Police Clearance.
