Champion Data has an exciting opportunity for an experienced and dedicated Product & Software Team Lead to join our team!

The Product & Software Team Lead will oversee existing products and software and establish and/or oversee their future roadmap. Identify and oversee a Product and Software sunset program in collaboration with stakeholders. In conjunction with relevant Departments define new products and manage the strategy and roadmap for these products.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage or oversee the entire product and software development life cycle
- Define product and software strategy and roadmaps in alignment with Business Strategy and priorities.
- Maintain a whole of business register of products and software
- Specifying market requirements for current and future products by conducting market research in conjunction with relevant stakeholders
- Establish the process and monitor how our customers are operating with and without our products in conjunction with relevant stakeholders
- When directed be an expert with respect to competitors and competing products
- When directed be a product super user and perform product demos to customers and other stakeholders
- Oversee the process, core positioning and messaging for products with Stakeholders
- Work collaboratively with the Technology, Operations and Commercial Teams to agree Commercial goals
- Contribute to Product or Software promotions or catalogues.
- Produce the business and product requirements documents for products as agreed and functional specifications document (in consultation with Development Team Leaders)
- Agree with Technology Team for approved products, the product vision and development priorities and requirements
- Manage Product Owners
- Collaborate with and assist Software Owners with requirements and development process and total business impact




- Manage the signoff or acceptance of delivery (this is not the QA of a product)

About You

- 3 – 5 years experience in a similar role in the software development industry
- Proven ability to develop successful product strategies
- Excellent organisational, written and verbal communication skills
- Strong problem solving skills and willingness to get hands‑on
- Experience working effectively with cross‑functional teams
- Technical background with understanding and/or hands‑on experience in software development, infrastructure and web technologies
- Relationship management skills at all levels internally and externally
- Experience in sports analytics, digital or broadcast media highly regarded
