Chance to join our team as a Quarry Operator at our Farleigh Quarry in Mackay, Queensland on a permanent full-time basis.
This role reports to the Quarry Manager and seeks experienced operators who value safety and work ethic, willing to work up to 12‑hour days and 5.5‑day weeks during busy periods.
Financials: 38 hours spread over 4 days of 9.5 hours per day, the last day of the financial week and Saturdays are all overtime. The first 2 hours of overtime are paid at 1.5×, then double time thereafter. The hourly rate ranges from $31.82 to $36.98 depending on experience.
Responsibilities
- Operate mobile equipment including dump trucks, front end loaders and excavators.
- Operate the crushing and screening plant.
- Perform general fixed plant maintenance and inspections.
- Pitch in and perform any/all quarry tasks when needed.
- Commit to Zero Harm and Safety leadership.
- Adhere to fixed and mobile plant pre‑start and maintenance procedures.
Qualifications
- Quarry/mining experience.
- Experience operating front‑end loaders, dump trucks and/or excavators.
- Ability to work in a small team and unsupervised.
- Professional work ethic with a "can do" attitude.
