We have three full time, permanent Fire Operations Officer roles available in Kalgoorlie, Western Australia. Two Level 3 positions (DBCA & DBCA , $89,464 - $96,043 p.a.) and one Level 4 position (DBCA , $99,134 - $104,044 p.a.) are offered, all with district allowance and 12% superannuation.

The Goldfields Region manages 8.6 million hectares of conservation reserves and is responsible for fire preparedness, prescribed burning, and mitigation programs on departmental-managed lands. Duties include planning, coordination, implementation, and review of fire-related projects, as well as the maintenance of fire management equipment and infrastructure.

- Assist with regional fire management operations, including prescribed burns and preparedness activities




- Coordinate fire-related projects and equipment maintenance
- Plan and lead bushfire mitigation, including fire breaks and fuel modification (Level 4)
- Prepare maps, works prescriptions, DAS, and manage contracts for fire projects (Level 4)
