Join a well-established construction and infrastructure business delivering major EPC projects across the energy and infrastructure sectors.
This is a genuine opportunity for a contracts specialist to take ownership of high-value contractual matters across a live and growing project pipeline, working closely with an experienced Legal Counsel and wider project team.
About the role
You’ll join a team of 5, reporting directly into the Head of Legal, with real autonomy to manage contractual risk across complex construction and EPC projects from front-end drafting through to claims resolution.
Key responsibilities
- Draft, review, and negotiate head contracts, subcontracts, and supply agreements across EPC and construction projects
- Identify and manage contractual risk, including variations, claims, and delay/disruption issues
- Advise project teams on contractual entitlements and obligations under standard forms (NEC,
bespoke EPC contracts)
- Support dispute avoidance and resolution, including negotiation of claims and variations
- Liaise with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers on contractual matters
- Work alongside legal, commercial, and project controls functions to ensure consistent contract governance
What you'll bring
- Experience in contracts management within construction, EPC, or infrastructure environments
- Solid working knowledge of standard construction contract forms and Australian construction law
- Experience managing variations, claims, and contractual disputes on complex projects
- Background in energy, renewables, transmission, or heavy civil infrastructure highly regarded
