We are seeking compassionate and reliable Disability Support Workers to join our team in Southport on a casual basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a genuine difference while enjoying flexibility and the opportunity to pick up a variety of shifts.
Make an Impact at Endeavour Foundation
Working across our disability support services, you will assist people with disability to live as independently as possible and achieve their NDIS goals. Whether supporting participants in their home or out in the community, you'll play an important role in helping people build confidence, develop skills, and stay connected to the things that matter most.
No two days will be the same!
Key Responsibilities
- Support people to achieve their NDIS goals and develop daily living skills
- Assist with personal care, household tasks, and routines where required
- Support meal planning, cooking, and light domestic duties
- Facilitate community participation, appointments, and social activities
- Help maintain positive connections with family, friends, and support networks
Our Ideal Candidate
Our ideal candidate is a calm, compassionate, and professional Disability Support Worker who is passionate about supporting people to live fulfilling and independent lives.
We Are Looking For People Who Have
- Experience supporting people with disability, including those with complex support needs and behaviours of concern
- The ability to build positive relationships and remain calm in challenging situations
- Confidence supporting participants with personal care and daily living activities
- Good computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Flexibility to work a variety of casual shifts, including mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, sleepovers, and active overnight shifts when required
The following are required or willingness to obtain
- Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability) is advantageous
- Working with Children Check (Blue Card)
- NDIS Worker Screening Check (Yellow Card)
- Current First Aid and CPR Certificate
- National Criminal History Check (Fit2Work)
- Open Driver's Licence and comprehensive vehicle insurance
