About the company:

Our client is a well-established national provider within the electrical sector and a manufacturing specialist focusing on the design, manufacture, testing, and installation of electrical switchboards, transformer kiosks, and industrial installations. With over 50 years of industry experience, they have been a national leader in delivering high-quality, Australian-made electrical solutions across all Australian states and territories. As their business expands, we are recruiting an experienced Senior Electrical Estimator, with career opportunities available across their major East Coast up-to-date manufacturing facilities in Brisbane, Sydney, or Melbourne.

About the role:

The successful candidate will bring a proven track record in electrical estimating, specifically across MV/LV switchboards, switchrooms, kiosks, and power distribution systems. You will also collaborate with the engineering, design, and production teams across their national network, supporting major projects and contributing to product development.

- Identify new project opportunities through multiple platforms and manage the ongoing pipeline of upcoming estimates.
- Review tender documents, project drawings, and technical specifications to completely understand the project requirements and scope of work.
- Create detailed, competitive project cost estimates based on tender files, historical pricing data, and expert cost calculations.
- Help develop proposal bid strategies and build the final tender submission documents, including summaries for board review, work methods, and construction schedules.
- Work with engineering, operational,



and project teams to design innovative solutions and complete smooth handovers to the Project Manager after winning a project.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors to gather pricing information, finalize bids, and confirm project scopes.
- Provide early reports on bidding and estimating risks that need mitigation, keep accurate historical records, track tender outcomes, and update management while improving estimation processes.

What you will bring:

- 5 years of experience as an electrical estimator specifically in the electrical or switchboard industry
- Trade Qualified Electrician, or a degree in electrical engineering, construction management, or a related field
- Demonstrated background in pricing MV/LV switchboards, switchrooms, kiosks or related equipment
- Proven background in the industrial sector is highly regarded
- Strong understanding of electrical systems, design, installation, and relevant sector codes and regulations
- Proficiency in Estimating Software tools such as WinEst, Espro, CostX or similar,
- Familiarity with project management tools and systems is an advantage
- High level computer literacy especially Microsoft Office Tools
