Mario's Italian Restaurant is seeking an experienced Cook and Chef to join our passionate team in our Broadbeach, QLD location. This is a full-time role where you will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of authentic Italian dishes to delight our customers.
What you'll be doing
- Preparing and cooking an array of Italian dishes from our menu, including pasta, pizza, meat and seafood dishes
- Ensuring the highest standards of food preparation, presentation and hygiene are maintained
- Working closely with the Head Chef to innovate and develop new menu items
- Assisting in the training and development of junior kitchen staff
- Maintaining a clean and organised kitchen environment
What we're looking for
- Minimum 12 months experience as a cook or chef in a similar restaurant
- Formal culinary training or qualifications in commercial cooking
- Certificate III Commercial Cookery qualification is required
- Strong knowledge of Italian cuisine and cooking techniques
- Minimum 2+ years experience working in an Italian restaurant is essential
- Excellent time management and multi-tasking skills
- A passion for creating exceptional dining experiences for our customers
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
