The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced and commercially minded Business Operations Manager to join our leadership team. Reporting directly to the General Manager, this is a hands-on, high-impact role for a professional who thrives at the intersection of commercial performance, service delivery, and team leadership.

You will steer a leadership team that is accountable for the Sales, Workshop, and Biz Support functions — to own the business scorecard, protect margins, and keep the business running smoothly, while building a high-performing, safety-first culture.

What You'll Do

Leadership & Culture

· Lead, manage, and hold your team accountable — day in, day out.

· Coordinate across business functions so nothing falls through the cracks.

· Set the standard for culture, safety, and how we treat each other.

Commercial Performance

· Own the business scorecard and report on the KPIs that matter.

· Run margin reviews to keep every job profitable.

· Keep a handle on P&L;, pricing, and the 13-week cashflow position.

Service & Safety

· Set the bar for delivery standards and keep customers coming back.

· Lead safety on the ground.

· Support the basics of people management — recruitment, performance, and day-to-day HR.

What You'll Bring

· Proven experience leading a multi-function team in a trade, manufacturing, or industrial environment





· A track record of owning P&L;, margins, and pricing decisions.

· The ability to lead, manage, and hold people accountable (LMA) — no excuses, no drama.

· A genuine commitment to safety leadership; comfortable holding responsible person duties.

· The confidence to advise, challenge, and influence — with the credibility to back it up.

· A hands-on approach: as comfortable on the workshop floor as at your desk.

· Formal qualifications in business, HR, or safety are a plus — but we care more about what you’ve delivered.
