Recycling Plastics Australia is seeking a motivated and skilled Production Operator to join our team at our Kilburn facility in South Australia. This is a full-time, permanent role, working 12-hour shifts across 7 shifts per fortnight.
As a Production Operator, you will play a crucial role in the efficient and safe operation of our state-of-the-art plastic recycling equipment, contributing to our mission of environmental sustainability.
What you'll be doing
- Operating and monitoring various machinery and equipment used in the plastic recycling process
- Performing quality checks and troubleshooting any issues to ensure consistent output and product quality
- Adhering to all health, safety and environmental procedures to maintain a safe and compliant workplace
- Assisting with the maintenance and cleaning of equipment to keep it in optimal working condition
- Collaborating with the production team to identify and implement process improvements
- Maintaining accurate records and documentation related to production activities
What we're looking for
- Minimum 1–2 years of experience in a production or manufacturing environment, preferably in the recycling or waste management industry
- Strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to operate and maintain various types of industrial equipment
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve issues quickly
- Commitment to workplace health and safety and the ability to follow standard operating procedures
- Good communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with colleagues
- Ability to work permanent night or day shifts, including weekends and public holidays
- Hold a current high risk forklift license
