Bridgestone Select Robina is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Apprentice Mechanic to join our team on a full-time basis. This is an exciting opportunity to begin your career in the automotive trades, working alongside experienced professionals in a dynamic workshop environment. Based in Robina, QLD, you will gain hands-on experience in vehicle maintenance, repairs, and diagnostics while working towards completing your automotive apprenticeship. This role is fundamental to developing the next generation of skilled mechanics and offers a genuine pathway into a rewarding career within the automotive industry.
Key responsibilities
1. Assisting senior mechanics with vehicle maintenance and repair tasks under supervision
2. Learning to perform routine servicing including oil changes, filter replacements, and fluid top-ups
3. Developing skills in vehicle inspection and diagnostics
4. Preparing work areas and ensuring tools and equipment are properly maintained
5. Assisting with tyre fitting, balancing, and alignment services
6. Supporting the workshop team in maintaining a safe and clean working environment
7. Keeping accurate records of work completed and parts used
8. Progressively taking on more complex tasks as skills and confidence develop
9. Attending formal training and completing required apprenticeship coursework
What we're looking for
1. A genuine passion for vehicles and automotive mechanics
2. Currently enrolled in or willing to enrol in an accredited automotive apprenticeship programme
3. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
4. Excellent problem-solving abilities and a willingness to learn
5. Valuable manual dexterity and physical capability to perform workshop duties
6.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
7. Reliability and a strong work ethic
8. Sound communication skills and a positive attitude
9. A valid driver's licence is preferred
