The Role

An opportunity has become available for a Nurse Researcher to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 14 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.

You will

- Demonstrate experience in a range of research methods (qualitative and quantitative)
- Engage is quality initiatives and research projects to inform practice change
- Prepare, present and disseminate research findings for a range of audiences, in a range of media
- Maintain risks and issues registers and coordinate the review of risks and issues in a timely manner
- Develop and maintain spreadsheets, databases, tools, project documentation and storage

About you

To be successful in this position you will require:

- Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent
- Registration with the Nursing Midwifery Board of Australia
- Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B
- Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
- Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
- Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

Salary

- Temporary full time (up to 36 months)
- Base salary ranging from $5,364.30 - $5,824.20 per fortnight

About Us

This position sits within Rehabilitation and Aged Care Services (RACS) and operates within the Division of Medicine.

The position works in close collaboration the Clinical Director, RACS and with GCH clinicians,



operational teams and external stakeholders, including the Motor Accident Insurance Commission, Bond University, Griffith University, Southern Cross University, as well as national and international research institutions.

The aim of this position is to facilitate and undertake high quality research and demonstrate skills in research governance, compliance, and research development. The position supports capacity building and capability development across the organisation and actively promotes a strong research culture. Through this work, the wider RACS team is committed to enabling evidence based practice and driving improvements in care and outcomes for the community.
