The Opportunity
An exciting temporary prospect is available for an experienced Procurement Support Officer to join a busy team supporting regional operations.
In this role, you will provide high-quality customer service and act as a key point of contact for procurement enquiries, procedures, and processes. You will support purchasing, procurement, contract administration, and project activities while working closely with internal stakeholders to ensure the timely delivery of goods and services.
Your responsibilities will include processing purchase orders, work orders and field release orders, maintaining procurement documentation, assisting with procurement-related projects and reports, and ensuring compliance with legislative and departmental procurement requirements. This is a varied role that requires excellent organisational skills and a proactive approach to supporting business operations.
About You
You are an organised and customer-focused administration professional with excellent attention to detail and a passion for delivering quality service.
To be successful, you will have:
- Experience in procurement, purchasing, contract administration or a similar administrative role
- Strong customer service and stakeholder engagement skills
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office and the ability to learn new systems quickly
- Knowledge of procurement processes within a government environment will be highly regarded
