Early Supports Practitioner – A passionate and skilled role within our NDIS Early Childhood partner team to empower families, support children’s development, and deliver evidence‑informed early childhood intervention services.

About the Role

Reporting to the Program Manager – Early Intervention Services, the Early Supports Practitioner delivers evidence‑informed early childhood intervention supports to children aged 0–6 years with developmental concerns, emerging developmental delays and/or disability.

Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, you will partner with families, carers, early childhood education services and community professionals to deliver coordinated, family‑centred supports that build children's participation, independence and developmental outcomes.

The role focuses on direct service delivery through individual supports, group programs and coaching approaches that empower families to support their child's development within everyday routines and community settings.

Key Responsibilities

- Deliver evidence-informed early childhood intervention through individual sessions with children and families.
- Facilitate group programs that support child development and build parent knowledge, confidence and capability.
- Use coaching approaches to support families to embed developmental strategies into everyday routines and environments.




- Conduct developmental assessments and developmental conversations where required.
- Assess children's needs and assist families to access appropriate supports and referral pathways.
- Work collaboratively with families to identify strengths, priorities and goals.
- Liaise with allied health professionals, early learning services and community organisations to support coordinated care.
- Maintain accurate documentation, service records and reporting requirements.
- Participate in reflective practice, supervision, professional development and quality improvement initiatives.
- Build positive relationships with stakeholders and contribute to community awareness of services and supports.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

- Sound knowledge of typical and atypical child development.
- Knowledge of developmental screening and assessment tools.
- Experience delivering evidence-based interventions for children with developmental delay and/or disability.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
- Strong organisational, administrative and time management skills.
- The ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary setting.
- Demonstrated awareness of the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) and the Early Childhood Approach, or a willingness to learn.

Essential Qualifications





- Tertiary qualifications in Occupational Therapy, Speech Pathology, Physiotherapy, Psychology, Social Work, Developmental Education, Early Childhood Education, Primary Teaching or a related discipline.
- Relevant professional registration or eligibility for professional membership where applicable.
- Lived experience of disability and its impact on individuals, families or communities.Experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and/or culturally and linguistically diverse communities.

Mandatory Requirements

- Current Australian Driver License.
- Current Working with Children Check.
- NDIS Worker Screening Check.
- Satisfactory Criminal Record Check.
- Ability to travel as required.
