Job Summary
Registered Nurse – Medical Imaging (Royal Hobart Hospital, Tasmania)
Role
The registered nurse works across diagnostic and interventional procedures in CT, PET, Nuclear Medicine, MRI, Ultrasound, Fluoroscopy and Angiography for both inpatients and outpatients.
Provides safe, quality, clinically appropriate nursing care in partnership with patients, families and other health professionals.
Responsibilities
- Provide care to patients undergoing medical imaging procedures across multiple modalities.
- Work effectively within a multidisciplinary team, contributing to a strong team approach through open communication and a supportive approach.
- Provide 24/7 on‑call support for emergency interventional procedures.
Qualifications
- Registered Nurse, registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.
- Knowledge of nursing principles, procedures and practices in diagnostic and interventional imaging, following legal and local policy requirements.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Awareness of radiation safety standards and ability to wear a lead apron.
Salary and Benefits
Salary $80,524 to $109,175 per annum (pro rata), plus 12% superannuation contribution. Employee perks include travel and relocation assistance, professional development, leave entitlements, fitness passport and carer support.
