We are seeking an experienced Senior Maintenance Planner & Scheduler to support a predominantly Komatsu mobile mining fleet through effective maintenance planning, scheduling, and reliability-focused asset management.

Reporting to the Planning Superintendent, you will be responsible for ensuring maintenance activities are planned and executed efficiently to maximise equipment availability and fleet performance. Working closely with site teams, OEMs, and suppliers, you will play a key role in driving maintenance excellence and continuous improvement initiatives.
Beyond planning and scheduling, you will leverage maintenance data and asset performance metrics to identify reliability trends, recurring failures, and opportunities to improve component life, reduce downtime, and enhance overall fleet performance.

This role is ideal for a proactive and analytical maintenance qualified who can work autonomously, build strong stakeholder relationships, and contribute to improved operational outcomes through data-driven decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop and manage maintenance plans and schedules.

- Prepare work packs, maintenance scopes, and shutdown plans.

- Coordinate maintenance activities with operations, maintenance, and supply teams.

- Forecast component replacements and lifecycle maintenance requirements.

- Liaise with OEMs, suppliers, and contractors to support fleet maintenance.

- Monitor schedule compliance and maintenance performance.

- Maintain accurate data within Pronto and maintenance management systems.





- Analyse maintenance and equipment data to identify reliability and performance improvement opportunities.

- Support fleet health reporting, KPI tracking, and performance reviews.

- Contribute to preventative, predictive, and reliability-centred maintenance strategies.

- Drive continuous improvement across planning, scheduling, and work management processes.

- Collaborate with site personnel to ensure plans align with operational requirements.

Essential Experience Required:

- Proven experience in mobile maintenance planning and scheduling within mining.

- Strong knowledge of Komatsu mobile fleets, including haul trucks, excavators, loaders, dozers, and ancillary equipment.

- Advanced proficiency in Pronto and Microsoft Project.

- Experience developing long-term maintenance plans and annual maintenance strategies.

- Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify reliability and performance improvement opportunities from maintenance data.

- Experience supporting asset reliability, maintenance optimisation, and equipment availability initiatives.

- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

- Ability to work autonomously while collaborating effectively with operational and maintenance teams.

- Willingness to travel to site for periods of up to one week as required.
