Helping Hands Calliope is seeking an inspiring and motivated OSHC Assistant Coordinator to join our growing Helping Hands service. Permanent part-time | 30 hours per week | Monday–Friday split shifts
⏰ Enjoy a split-shift schedule
- Rise Then Shine: 6:30am – 9:00am
- Stay and Play: 2:30pm – 6:00pm
- School Holidays: Block shifts between 6:30am – 6:00pm

About Calliope State School Helping Hands
Calliope Helping Hands is a close-knit service within a supportive school community, with strong relationships and engaged families. We typically welcome 30–45 children, with higher attendances some mornings and during school holidays. Based in the school hall with an exclusive admin office, you’ll join a collaborative team focused on building positive relationships and creating meaningful experiences for children.
About your new role
As an Assistant Coordinator, you’ll help lead a team of passionate Educators and oversee an engaging before- and after-school program for children aged 5-12 years. This role is all about leadership:
- Design and help lead a vibrant, child‑centred program, filled with engaging experiences such as STEM, sport, cooking, arts and crafts.
- Assist with rosters, daily operations, compliance, and administration.
- Build a positive, inclusive team culture where Educators feel supported, motivated, and proud of the program they deliver.
- Partner with families, the school community, and internal stakeholders to ensure the service continues to grow and thrive.
- Be supported by an experienced Coordinator and Regional Manager, so you’re never doing it alone.
