We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the development and implementation of a robust, integrated Health, Safety and Wellbeing (HSW) Management System within a Queensland Government department.

This is a key opportunity for a senior project professional with strong WHS experience to lead a high-profile initiative, engage with senior stakeholders and drive meaningful organisational change.

About the Role You will be responsible for:

- Leading the development and implementation of an integrated HSW Management System, ensuring compliance with the Work Health and Safety Act 2011.
- Leading consultation and co-design activities across the department, working closely with subject matter experts and senior stakeholders.
- Preparing high-level reports, briefs and recommendations, identifying risks and developing mitigation strategies to keep the project on track.
- Identifying opportunities for continuous improvement and building organisational capability in HSW management systems.
- Developing strong relationships across the department and influencing stakeholders to achieve project outcomes.

About You To be successful,



you will have:

- Proven experience leading and delivering complex projects or programs that translate strategic objectives into practical outcomes.
- Strong WHS leadership experience and the ability to partner effectively with senior stakeholders.
- Highly developed written and verbal communication skills, including experience preparing briefs, reports, policies and standards.
- The ability to navigate ambiguity, influence change and deliver outcomes in challenging environments.
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills and a collaborative, ethical and culturally respectful approach.
- Tertiary qualifications in WHS or a related discipline will be highly regarded.
