Newcastle

An exciting opportunity has become available for a Speech Pathologist to join a growing allied health team within a well-established not-for-profit organisation across Newcastle, Lake Macquarie and surrounding regions.

This role will suit a Speech Pathologist who is passionate about teens and young adults, across community, school and home-based settings. You will be joining an organisation that is actively investing in allied health services, with robust growth plans, excellent support and genuine career progression opportunities.

The Role
As a Speech Pathologist, you will work with NDIS participants across a varied caseload, with a strong focus on teens and young adults. You will support clients with communication, speech development, stuttering, functional communication, AAC and capacity-building goals. (If aged care is of interest, this can also be a tailored caseload)

The caseload is community-based, with the opportunity to work across homes, schools and other community settings. You will have the flexibility to manage your own diary and build a caseload within your preferred geographical area.
This role would suit someone who enjoys autonomy, variety and working as part of a supportive, growing allied health team.

What’s On Offer

- Salary up to $120,000 + super
- Salary packaging
- Pool cars available for community travel
- Flexible working structure with the ability to work from home
- Prospect to manage your own diary
- No need to chase billing or service agreements
- Unlimited professional development opportunities
- Discounted Medibank health insurance
- Supportive onboarding and gradual caseload build-up
- Shadowing with senior clinicians during induction
- Regular check-ins at 6, 8 and 16 weeks
- Career progression into leadership or specialist clinical pathways
- Supportive Allied Health Manager and senior team
- Strong focus on staff wellbeing and culture

About The Team

You will be joining a growing NDIS allied health team that currently includes Speech Pathologists, Occupational Therapists, Behaviour Support Practitioners, Allied Health Assistants and Clinical Psychologists.

The organisation has already brought on multiple allied health practitioners this year and is continuing to expand across disability services. Their long-term plan is to grow the NDIS allied health team significantly, with future clinic space, treatment rooms and a larger shared office environment planned within the next 12 months.

The team has a strong mix of personalities, including both younger clinicians and experienced senior staff. They are looking for someone who is independent, proactive and confident working autonomously, while also being comfortable asking for support when needed.

About You
You may already have experience in NDIS, paediatrics, adolescent or young adult caseloads, or you may be an adult-focused clinician who is confident working within the disability space.

You will ideally have:

- Tertiary qualification in Speech Pathology
- SPA membership or eligibility
- Interest or experience in AAC, stuttering and functional assessments
- Ability to work autonomously across community settings
- Current driver’s licence

Why Join?
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a values-led organisation that is genuinely investing in allied health. The team is not looking to simply fill a seat — they are focused on long-term fit, culture, wellbeing and career development.
You will have the autonomy to manage your caseload, the support of an experienced Allied Health Manager, and the opportunity to grow with a service that is expected to continue expanding over the next 12 months.
Whether you are looking to develop a specialist area such as AAC, grow into leadership or simply join a supportive organisation with a strong culture, this role offers a explicit pathway for long-term career growth.
