About the Company
Our client is a leading global supplier of enterprise cabling, communications and security solutions.
Operating for more than 50 years across 50+ countries, this Fortune 200 organisation has an established Australian presence, an impressive product portfolio, and a strong reputation across the market.
With continued growth across Australia, an opportunity now exists for a commercially driven sales qualified to take the lead across NSW/ACT.

Or you could be a high-performing BDM, or experienced industry sales professional who knows the enterprise cabling, electrical, communications, or electronic security market, naturally leads and influences others, and is ready to make the move into sales leadership.
Either way, we're looking for someone with strong commercial instincts, credibility in front of customers, and the drive to build a high-performing team and grow the business.
You'll inherit an established operation with an experienced sales team, and relationships with some of the world's leading manufacturers.
Your role will be to build on that platform, developing the team, strengthening key customer and vendor relationships, identifying recent growth opportunities, and driving the commercial performance of the NSW/ACT business.
You'll have genuine ownership, visibility with senior leadership, and the autonomy to make an impact.
Key Responsibilities

- Coach, develop, and motivate an established sales team.
- Take ownership of revenue, margin, pipeline, forecasting, and overall sales performance.
- Develop and execute sales plans aligned with national growth objectives.
- Build strong relationships with key customers, partners, and senior decision-makers.
- Remain active in the market, supporting the team on strategic accounts and major opportunities.
- Work closely with key vendor partners to identify and execute joint growth initiatives.
- Identify new customers, market opportunities, verticals, and channels for growth.
- Drive disciplined account planning, pipeline management, CRM activity, and forecasting.
- Work collaboratively with Product, Marketing, Technical, Operations, and Supply Chain teams.
- Support pricing strategy, major opportunities, commercial proposals, and strategic bids.
- Represent the business at customer meetings, supplier engagements, industry events, and market functions.
About You
We're looking for a commercially minded sales professional who combines strong customer skills with the ability or clear potential to lead a sales team.
If you're a successful industry sales professional who has consistently delivered results, built strong customer relationships, mentored others, and is ready for more responsibility, we'd be interested in speaking with you.
Likewise, if you're already leading a sales team and looking for a larger platform with a global organisation, this could be an excellent next move.
Ideally, you'll bring:
- Proven success in sales leadership, enterprise business development.
- Experience within structured cabling, communications, electronic security, ICT, networking, electrical, or a related technology market.
- A strong track record of developing customer relationships and delivering sales growth.
- Existing leadership experience or the capability and ambition to step into leadership.
- Strong commercial acumen across revenue, margin, pricing, pipeline management, and forecasting.
- The ability to coach, influence, motivate, and bring people with you.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Confidence engaging with customers, suppliers, and senior decision-makers.
- A hands-on approach and willingness to stay close to customers and the market.
- Strong organisation, planning, and execution skills.
- Drive, resilience, and a genuine desire to build a successful team and business.
For an experienced sales leader, it offers the chance to take ownership of a significant state operation.
For a high-performing industry sales professional it could be the opportunity to make the move from individual sales success into leadership.
The Offer
The successful applicant will receive an attractive salary package commensurate with their experience and the seniority of the position.
More importantly, you'll be joining a leading global Fortune 200 company that can offer genuine career development, exposure to senior leadership, and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the continued growth of the Australian business.
