Technical Consultant - Cloud & Infrastructure
Location: Airport West, Melbourne (Hybrid - Office, Customer Sites & Remote)

Our client is a growing Melbourne-based technology consultancy that helps organisations design, implement and support modern Microsoft cloud, infrastructure and cyber security solutions. Their focus is on delivering trusted advice, exceptional customer service and long-term technology partnerships rather than simply fixing IT issues.

We're looking for an experienced Senior Technical Consultant who enjoys solving complex technical challenges, working directly with customers and leading infrastructure and cloud projects from design through to delivery.
This is an ideal opportunity for someone wanting to move beyond senior and experienced systems administration into a genuine consulting role.

What You'll Do

- Design, implement and support Microsoft cloud and hybrid infrastructure solutions
- Lead customer projects involving Microsoft 365, Azure, Windows Server and modern workplace technologies
- Provide Level 3 technical consulting and escalation support across customer environments
- Advise customers on cloud adoption, infrastructure modernisation, security and best practice
- Deploy and maintain Microsoft Intune, Entra ID (Azure AD), Exchange Online and Microsoft 365 security features
- Assist with infrastructure migrations, disaster recovery,



backup and business continuity solutions
- Work closely with customers to understand business requirements and recommend practical technical solutions
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical standards and documentation

About You

- 5+ years' experience in infrastructure engineering, cloud consulting or managed services
- Solid Microsoft technology background including:

- Microsoft Azure
- Microsoft 365
- Windows Server
- Entra ID (Azure AD)
- Active Directory
- Intune

Experience designing and implementing cloud and hybrid infrastructure Strong understanding of networking, virtualisation, backup and cyber security fundamentals Experience delivering customer-facing technical projects Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills Passion for learning new technologies and building long-term customer relationships Highly Regarded

- Microsoft certifications (Azure, Microsoft 365 or Security)
- Experience with VMware or Hyper-V
- Microsoft Defender suite
- Azure Virtual Desktop
- Backup and disaster recovery platforms
- Experience within a Managed Services Provider (MSP) or consulting environment
