Located in Port Douglas QLD 4877, La Cucina is currently seeking a Cook to become part of its growing team. Situated in the heart of Port Douglas, La Cucina is renowned for its authentic Italian cuisine, contemporary dining experience, and commitment to exceptional food quality and service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Preparing and cooking a variety of authentic Italian dishes in accordance with recipes and quality standards.
• Assisting with menu preparation, daily mise en place, and ensuring timely service during busy periods.
• Monitoring food quality, presentation, and portion control to maintain consistency.
• Ensuring all food is prepared and stored in compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations.
• Monitoring stock levels, assisting with ordering, and minimising food waste.
• Maintaining a clean, organised, and hygienic kitchen environment at all times.




• Assisting with the development of seasonal specials and menu items where required.
• Working collaboratively with the kitchen team to ensure efficient daily operations.

About you:

• At least one year of relevant experience as a Cook or in a similar commercial kitchen role.
• Sound knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen operations.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards.
• Robust understanding of food safety, hygiene, and HACCP principles.
• Good organisational and time management skills.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• A positive attitude, reliability, and passion for producing quality food.

Job Type: Permanent/Full-time
Salary: $70,000 - $80,000 per annum.
