Description

Commencing in January 2027 we have exciting opportunities for first timers, experienced winery operators, people from other industries and returnees.

On a day-to-day basis Cellar Hand perform duties for which they have received appropriate and adequate training and instruction. Duties may be performed in all areas of the winery including;

- Crusher operation
- Press operation
- General cellar including additions, tuffing, transfers
- Receive and make handover instructions from/with other shift supervisors
- Clarification including Centrifuge/RDV and Cross flow filtration operations
- Jetting and working in wet areas
- Maintain Good housekeeping practices, cleaning and other duties as required
- Entering and Working in Confined Spaces
- Working at heights which includes regular access to and climbing of stairs and catwalks




- Handling dangerous and hazardous substances (caustics, acids, sulphur dioxide)

Skills And Experiences

To be successful in for these roles you will need to be able to demonstrate the following:

- Familiarity working with delivery schedules will be desirable.
- Experience working in a customer service or similar background and dealing with a diverse range of people.
- Familiarity with accurate data entry and attention to detail and sound computer skills.
- You like working in a social team environment, you have sound communication, literacy and numeracy skills
- You like to be organised and are great at having multiple things on the go at once
- You have the ability to follow instructions, procedures and safe work practices and you want to get the job done
- Previous experience working as a Weighbridge operator and conducting grape testing is desirable
- You are able to work on a rotating roster of Day and Night Shifts
