Job Description

The Trustee for Ledwith Family Trust An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Mobile Plant Operator to join our mixed farming operations . The successful applicant will operate and maintain a range of agricultural machinery while supporting both cropping and livestock activities in accordance with protected work practices and operational requirements.

Key Responsibilities Operate large-scale agricultural machinery including New Holland T9.670, Case MX180, Case Quadtrac 600, JCB Fastrac 4220, John Deere front-end loaders, New Holland CR10.90 Harvester, forklifts and other mobile plant to undertake seeding, harvesting, chaser bin operations and material handling. Prepare, position and calibrate tractors, implements and agricultural equipment to support all stages of the cropping cycle, including seeding and harvest operations.

Monitor machinery performance during field operations and adjust equipment settings to maximise productivity and minimise downtime. Conduct routine servicing, daily pre-start inspections and minor mechanical repairs, including maintenance of hydraulic systems, hydraulic rams, hoses, cultivator components, points, boots and other wear parts. Operate front-end loaders, augers and forklifts to load, transport and store grain, seed,



fertiliser and other agricultural materials, including filling silos and livestock feeding systems.

Assist with the maintenance of farm infrastructure, including repairing and installing fencing, constructing gates, maintaining grain storage and automatic livestock feeding equipment, and operating rock pickers. Maintain accurate records of machinery operation, servicing, paddock activities and agricultural inputs, including fuel, oil, fertiliser and chemicals. Support livestock operations where required, including sheep and ram handling, lamb marking, hoof trimming, horn trimming, truck loading and stock movements.

Comply with workplace health and safety, environmental and biosecurity requirements while working collaboratively with farm management to achieve seasonal production targets. What We’re Looking
