Lead security projects at one of Australia's most iconic institutions.
The Department of Parliamentary Services (DPS) is seeking an experienced ESS Project Manager to lead the delivery of electronic and physical security projects across Australian Parliament House.
Working within the ESS Operations team, you will manage the end-to-end delivery of security enhancement projects, from planning and procurement through to installation, commissioning, and handover. You will work closely with stakeholders, technical specialists, contractors, and security professionals to deliver outcomes that support the ongoing protection of one of Australia's most significant national assets.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced project manager who combines strong stakeholder engagement skills with a practical understanding of security technologies and project governance.
Who we are looking for
We are seeking an organised, adaptable, and results-focused project manager who can successfully deliver complex projects in a high-profile operational environment.
You will bring demonstrated experience managing multiple projects simultaneously, balancing competing priorities, and delivering outcomes within agreed timeframes and budgets. Your ability to build strong relationships, communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, and influence positive project outcomes will be highly valued.

Eligibility
Desirable qualifications and experience include:
• Tertiary qualifications in Project Management, Security Management, Engineering,
Information Technology, or a related discipline.
• Project Management certifications such as PRINCE2 Practitioner, AgilePM, PMP, Scrum Master, or equivalent.
• Experience working with Gallagher Security Management Systems, including access control, alarms, and integrated security solutions.
• Security industry qualifications, certifications, or vendor training such as Gallagher Technician Certification, Milestone, Genetec, ICT, Inner Range, LenelS2, or similar.(Suggested enhancement)
• Qualifications or experience in Australian Government procurement and contract management.
Job Specific Requirements:
• The successful applicant will be required to obtain and maintain a Negative Vetting 1 (Confidential/Highly Protected/Secret) security clearance.
