Period of employment / Hours:

Permanent full-time (76.00 hours per fortnight) day work (part time hours may be considered by negotiation)

Location:

Homes Tasmania -Community Infrastructure - State-wide (**)

Duties:

Primary Purpose / Focus :

Lead and manage a multidisciplinary team to deliver acquisitions, residential development, property sales, shared equity programs and marketing initiatives that increase housing supply and home ownership opportunities in Tasmania.

The role ensures the effective planning, delivery, and performance of programs aligned with Homes Tasmania’s strategic objectives, the Tasmanian Housing Strategy, and relevant Commonwealth initiatives.

Skills and experience :

Selection criteria includes:

- Extensive experience in acquisition, residential property development, asset divestment, housing programs or similar complex delivery environments.
- Demonstrated capability in business case development,



financial modelling and commercial decision-making and delivering programs aligned to government strategies and policy frameworks.
- High-level strategic, conceptual, analytic, and creative skills, with the ability to understand and make sound judgments about the political, social and organisational environment impacting on the Agency.

Desirable Requirements:

- Tertiary qualifications in economics, property, project management or the built environment.

Essential Requirements:

The Head of the State Service has determined that the person nominated for this job is to satisfy a pre‑employment check before taking up the appointment, on promotion or transfer. The following checks are to be conducted:

- 1. Conviction checks in the following areas:
- a) crimes of violence, b) sex related offences, c) serious drug offences, d) crimes involving dishonesty, e) serious traffic offences (If Driver's License is an Essential Requirement )

- 3. Disciplinary action in previous employment check.
