About the Opportunity
The Director, Legislative Services is responsible for delivering high level legal advice and support on the development and implementation of the legislative program for the Attorney-General, other Ministers and Government Departments.

Legislative Services is a business unit of the Attorney-General's Department (AGD) of South Australia which provides specialised legal advice and develops and reviews legislative proposals affecting legislation under the administrative responsibility of the Attorney-General.

Special Conditions for Employment
Employment is dependent upon a National Police Certificate clearance that the AGD finds satisfactory. Successful applicants will be provided further information if an interview is requested. Forms are not to be lodged directly with SA Police (SAPOL) under any circumstances and any fees incurred by applicants in doing so will not be recoverable from the AGD.
- Some out of hours work will be required;
- Some interstate and intrastate travel may be required;
- The successful applicant will have:
- A relevant tertiary qualification in law and hold, or be eligible to hold, a current practising certificate;
- Senior level experience in legal policy and law reform issues;
- Sound knowledge of Cabinet and Parliamentary procedures; and
- Experience providing leadership and supervision to legal practitioners and administrative staff;
