Bendigo Bank

Adelaide

At Bendigo Bank, we are more than just a bank. We are a community of passionate professionals dedicated to becoming Australia's bank of choice. Our purpose is to feed into the prosperity of our customers and communities, not just off them. For over 160 years, we have been supporting Australian farmers and agribusinesses, providing not just finance, but genuine, relationship-based support to help them thrive. Our vision is to be Australia’s most customer-connected bank, and our Agribusiness team is at the very heart of this commitment.

A Recent Era of Agribusiness Banking

We are embarking on a significant transformation, investing in a future that is highly digitised and automated. This isn't about replacing the human touch; it's about enhancing it. By streamlining processes, we are creating greater capacity for our people to do what they do best: build deep, meaningful connections with our customers, our communities, and each other. This is your opportunity to lead in an environment that blends rich heritage with a forward-thinking, innovative mindset.

The Role

As a Regional Manager, you will be a pivotal senior leader, driving the success of our Agribusiness division within your region. You will lead a dedicated team of Relationship Managers, fostering a culture of performance, integrity, and customer-centricity. Your role will be crucial in executing our regional strategy, growing our portfolio, and championing the Bendigo and Adelaide Bank brand.

What You'll Do:

- Lead with Vision: Inspire and coach a high-performing team, aligning their efforts with our strategic goals and the evolving needs of the agribusiness sector.
- Drive Business Growth: Develop and implement a localised strategy to drive profitable growth, focusing on customer acquisition, retention, and meeting key financial and volume targets.
- Champion the Customer: Foster strong, trust-based relationships with our customers, understanding their aspirations to deliver tailored solutions that add real value to their businesses.
- Embed Digital Transformation:

Lead your team through our business transformation, championing new technologies and processes that enhance efficiency and create more time for value-added customer engagement.
- Build Community Connections: Act as a key representative of the Bank, building and maintaining trusted relationships with internal stakeholders, local farming communities, and industry bodies to maximise growth opportunities.
- Manage Risk and Compliance: Ensure the quality of credit management and maintain a strong risk culture, operating within all bank policies and guidelines.

What You'll Bring

This role requires a unique blend of leadership, commercial acumen, and a deep passion for the agribusiness industry. While we have outlined the core skills below, we encourage you to apply if you believe you have the experience and mindset to succeed.

- Leadership & Grow Others: Proven experience in leading, coaching, and developing a team to achieve ambitious targets and grow their capabilities. You empower and inspire others through recognition, feedback, and connection.
- Customer Focus & Partnering: A genuine commitment to understanding customer needs and building sustainable partnerships. You collaborate across the business to deliver the best outcomes for the customer.
- Business Performance & Results Focus: A track record of driving business development and financial performance in the agribusiness or commercial lending sector. You are commercially minded and manage performance against key metrics.
- Future Ready & Innovation: An ability to embrace and lead change, particularly in a transforming digital environment.

You constructively challenge the status quo and anticipate future market shifts.
- Considered Decision Making: Strong financial analysis, credit, and risk management skills, with experience in complex agribusiness lending. You make data-driven, informed decisions that ensure business sustainability.

Why Grow Your Career With Us?

This is an opportunity to be part of something bigger. As we progress on our 2030 strategy, we are committed to building a performance-based culture where your impact is recognised and your growth is supported.

- Be Part of the Future: Play a meaningful role in our journey to reinvent banking for a new generation of Australians.
- Genuine Flexibility: We embrace hybrid work and are committed to finding a balance that works for you and your life.
- Career Development: Take your learning to the next level with access to our corporate university, BEN U, and support for external studies.
- Be Valued: Join a team that celebrates success, supports one another, and is committed to building a diverse and inclusive workplace where everyone can thrive.

We are building a better, bigger, and more innovative bank. And we’ll get there with you.

Ready to apply?

We believe a diverse workforce supported by an inclusive culture is central to our success and we actively encourage applications from those who bring diversity of thought to our business. We support candidate requests for adjustment to accommodate an illness, injury, or disability to equitably participate in the selection process.

We are committed to responding to all candidates, regardless of the outcome of your application. Internal applicants are reminded to apply via PeopleHub.

Still in two minds?
