About the role

Torque Tech Mechanical & Tyre is seeking an experienced Operations Supervisor - Mechanical to join our team in Tom Price, WA 6751. This is a residential position, includes company supplied housing offering an excellent opportunity for a skilled supervisor to lead operations and drive excellence in our mechanical services division. You will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day mechanical operations, managing team performance, and ensuring all work is completed to the highest standards whilst maintaining safety and efficiency across our residential mechanical services.

Key responsibilities

- Supervise and manage the mechanical team, including scheduling, task allocation, and performance monitoring

- Oversee all mechanical work on residential projects, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and quality standards

- Coordinate with clients and project managers to ensure timely completion of mechanical installations and repairs

- Maintain accurate records of work completed, materials used, and team hours

- Conduct regular safety briefings and toolbox talks to promote a strong safety culture

- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency

- Monitor inventory and equipment maintenance requirements

- Report on operational metrics and team performance to senior management

- Support the recruitment and training of current team members as required

- Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, regulations, and company policies

What we're looking for

- Proven supervisory or team leadership experience in the automotive or mechanical trades industry

- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, diagnostics, and repair procedures

- Relevant qualifications or certifications in automotive mechanical work (e.g., automotive technician certification)





- Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to multitask effectively

- Demonstrated commitment to health and safety practices and standards

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and support team members

- Experience managing budgets, resources, and inventory in a mechanical workshop setting

- Ability to work effectively in a FIFO arrangement with flexibility around roster requirements

- Problem-solving mindset with a focus on continuous improvement
