At Essity, we're looking for an emerging leader who is ready for a bigger challenge. Based at our Springvale manufacturing site, you'll have the opportunity to lead a team of approximately 25 employees, drive operational performance, and develop your leadership capability within a global organization committed to improving the well-being of millions of people every day.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who has built a strong foundation in manufacturing and gained early people leadership experience and is now ready to take ownership of a production area and make a lasting impact.

About the Role

Reporting to the Site Manager, you'll lead the Tampons production area, ensuring the safe, efficient, and cost-effective delivery of operational targets. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams including Engineering, Maintenance, Quality, Technical and HR to drive performance, support continuous improvement initiatives, and create a highly engaged team culture.

and continuous improvement, making it an ideal next step for a high-potential manufacturing professional.

What You Will Do

- Lead and develop a team of approximately 25 employees through frontline leaders.

- Champion a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, and quality requirements.

- Deliver production plans while meeting performance, quality, waste, and efficiency targets.

- Lead root cause analysis of production related problems and lead the implementation of sustained solutions.

- Support the management of operational budgets and resources.

- Coach and develop team members to build capability and engagement.

- Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on productivity, reliability, quality, and cost reduction.

- Partner with Engineering, Maintenance, and Quality teams to improve equipment performance and manufacturing processes.

- Support new raw material introductions and process improvements.

- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and open communication.

- Contribute to positive employee relations and support the effective application of workplace agreements and policies.

You are a motivated manufacturing professional who enjoys leading people, solving problems, and improving performance. To be successful,



you will bring:

- Approximately 8 years' experience within manufacturing, FMCG, packaging, consumer goods, or a similar production environment.

- Minimum 2 years of people leadership experience, either as a Team Leader, Production Supervisor, Shift Leader, Area Leader, or similar.

- A degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline, or equivalent manufacturing experience.

- Experience within a GMP high-volume manufacturing or FMCG environment.

- Experience with Lean Manufacturing and Operational Excellence methods including root cause analysis, 5S and six sigma.

- A solid understanding of manufacturing safety and quality requirements.

- Experience working with operational KPIs and production performance measures.

- Solid communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

- A collaborative approach and the ability to build strong relationships across multiple functions.

- A passion for developing people and creating high-performing teams.

Highly regarded:

- Six Sigma Green Belt qualified through a credible organization, with improvement projects delivered with real benefits.

- TPM and Autonomous Maintenance experience.

- Experience producing TGA regulated products.

- Experience working in ISO 9001 and ISO 45001 certified sites.

- Familiarity with Enterprise Agreements or unionized manufacturing workplaces.
