About the Opportunity

Our client is a newly established asset finance brokerage built to service equipment-intensive businesses companies that buy and sell plant, machinery, vehicles and other assets through trading houses. Backed by strong lead generation and an in-house team of equipment specialists, this is a genuine ground-floor opportunity to help build a brokerage from the very start.

We're looking for someone who has already excelled in finance broking and is ready for a new challenge, not just another desk to write deals from, but the chance to help build a business. Reporting directly to the CEO, you'll originate structure and settle asset and equipment finance transactions for clients across a range of industries, with real scope to shape the processes, systems and client base as the business grows.

As the brokerage scales, this role carries a genuine short-to-long-term pathway to building and managing your own team of brokers with salary growth to match as your responsibilities expand.

The Role

- Originate and develop new asset finance business, converting high-quality leads supplied through the company's lead generation channels into settled deals

- Build and manage a portfolio of clients seeking equipment, plant, vehicle and other asset finance solutions

- Assess client needs and structure finance across chattel mortgage, finance lease, hire purchase and equipment rental products

- Work alongside in-house equipment specialists to match finance solutions to clients' asset requirements

- Prepare, submit and manage applications through to approval and settlement across a panel of lenders and aggregators

- Build strong relationships with lenders, aggregators, equipment dealers and referral partners

- Travel interstate as required to meet clients, attend industry events and support business development

- Stay current with lending policy,



credit guidelines and NCCP/responsible lending obligations

- Play a hands-on role in shaping the brokerage's processes, systems and referral network as an early team member

About You

- Proven experience in asset/equipment finance broking, commercial lending or a related finance or sales role

- Cert IV in Finance and Mortgage Broking (held or willing to obtain), eligible to hold a Credit Representative Number

- Sound understanding of asset finance products, lender credit policy and the NCCP regulatory framework

- Strong negotiation, relationship-building, and client service skills

- Self-motivated, entrepreneurial, and genuinely excited to help build a business from the ground up

- A track record of success in broking and looking for a new challenge beyond writing deals — someone with the ambition to eventually build and manage a team

- Comfortable managing a pipeline of applications and competing deadlines with robust organisational skills

- Proficient in Microsoft Office 365, HubSpot CRM and loan origination platforms

- Current driver's licence and willingness to travel interstate as required
