Reporting to the General Manager - R&D;/QA, you will play a key role in ensuring finished products meet strict quality, safety and regulatory standards. You will be responsible for supporting day-to-day quality control activities while also assisting the Research & Development function with product testing, laboratory activities, documentation and continuous improvement initiatives.
Working across both Quality Assurance and Research & Development, this role offers a unique prospect to gain broad exposure to laboratory operations, product quality, testing, formulation support and manufacturing processes within a leading Australian manufacturing business.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct quality control testing on raw materials, in-process products and finished goods.
- Assist the R&D; Chemist with day-to-day laboratory activities, product testing and development projects.
- Support product formulation trials and testing of new and existing products.
- Compile, review and maintain QC and R&D; test records, reports and documentation.
- Assist with the development, review and implementation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Maintain ISO accreditation requirements and laboratory equipment calibration records.
- Provide technical support and quality guidance to production teams.
- Conduct internal audits and random testing as required.
- Maintain accurate records within relevant systems and databases.
- Ensure compliance with WHS, QA and QHSE requirements.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Previous experience in a Quality Control, Laboratory Technician, Quality Assurance or similar manufacturing environment will be highly regarded
- Certificate III or IV in Laboratory Techniques, Laboratory Skills, Chemistry or a related discipline (preferred).
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing accurate, high-quality work.
- A practical, hands-on approach with excellent problem-solving skills.
- The ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications; experience with ERP systems such as Pronto is highly regarded.
- A willingness to learn and contribute across both Quality Assurance and Research & Development functions.
- The ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
- A current unrestricted driver's license.
