The Role
Warrikal is looking for an Access Coordinator to facilitate the efficient and effective execution of all scaffold and rope access activities across the maintenance contract on site at South32 Worsley.
This role extends beyond traditional coordination and requires a highly capable operational leader who understands maintenance execution, client expectations, workforce planning and contract performance. The role acts as the second-in-charge to the Site Superintendent and is expected to provide leadership continuity during times of absence. The successful candidate will proactively identify operational risks, drive work execution, maintain robust client relationships and support continuous improvement across the contract.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate daily scaffold and rope access activities across the maintenance contract
- Prioritise work in alignment with client requirements and operational risk
- Ensure work orders are planned, resourced and executed efficiently
- Monitor work progress and intervene where required to maintain schedule compliance
- Coordinate emergent and breakdown work without impacting planned maintenance
- Ensure labour, equipment and materials are available to meet operational requirements
- Review upcoming work schedules
- Identify labour shortages or capability gaps
- Act as the primary operational contact for client representatives.
- Build trusted working relationships with planners, supervisors and operations personnel
- Attend planning meetings and provide operational input
- Communicate schedule changes, constraints and risks proactively
- Represent the business professionally at all times
- Provide day-to-day leadership to supervisors and frontline teams
- Coach supervisors in planning, communication and execution
- Support workforce engagement and accountability
- Drive a positive safety and performance culture
- Lead operational meetings when required
- Promote a proactive safety culture
- Ensure compliance with client and company procedures
- Participate in incident investigations
- Conduct field leadership interactions
- Verify quality of scaffold and rope access services
- Drive corrective actions through to completion
About You
- Eligible to work in Australia
- Minimum of 5+ years in Access works or similar
- Experience coordinating multidisciplinary workforces
- Demonstrated leadership capability
- Strong planning and organisational skills
- Previous client-side planning, maintenance or operations experience
- Understanding of maintenance planning and scheduling
- Commercial awareness of maintenance contracts
- Strong understanding of scaffold and/or rope access services
