MAX's Cafe & Restaurant Foster Wilsons Prom is seeking an experienced and passionate Chef to join our growing team in regional Victoria.

This is a full-time permanent position offering an excellent opportunity to work in a busy restaurant committed to delivering high-quality food and exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities Prepare, cook and present high-quality meals in accordance with the restaurant's menu and quality standards.

Plan menus in consultation with management, including seasonal specials.

Estimate food and labour costs and assist with kitchen budgeting.

Order, receive and manage food supplies while maintaining stock levels.

Monitor food quality throughout preparation and presentation.

Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene and workplace health and safety regulations.

Supervise, train and mentor kitchen staff.

Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen.





Minimise food waste and contribute to efficient kitchen operations.

Work collaboratively with front-of-house staff to ensure excellent customer service.

Essential Requirements AQF Certificate IV, Diploma or higher qualification in Commercial Cookery or equivalent; or At least three years of relevant full-time Chef experience .

Strong knowledge of food safety and kitchen operations.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Excellent organisational and communication skills.

Ability to work weekends, evenings and public holidays as required.

Desirable Experience working in a café/restaurant workplace.

Menu development and cost control experience.

Leadership and team management skills.
