Franklin & Marshall College is recruiting for a full-time Dean of Admission in Lancaster, PA.

Job Description

Reporting to the Vice President of Enrollment Management, the Dean of Admission is responsible for leading the Office of Admission, managing all aspects of domestic and international first‑year and transfer admission recruitment, review, selection, and yield to help achieve institutional goals. The role includes collaborating with the VP to implement enrollment strategy, liaising with internal and external constituencies, and guiding the development and expansion of a visit program to build affinity and drive applications.

Job Details

- Location: F&M; Campus – Lancaster, PA
- Classification: Full‑time, Exempt
- Schedule: 40 hours, Monday–Friday (may require evenings and weekends)
- Reports to: Vice President of Enrollment Management
- Department: Admission
- Approved salary range: up to $140,000 annually
- Budget responsibility: admission budget management

Essential Functions

- Provide leadership for the Office of Admission, including domestic and international recruitment, visits, and events.
- Supervise the Director of Recruitment, Director of the Admission Visit Experience & Lombardo Welcome Center Manager, and Director of International Recruitment & Admission.
- Ensure successful operations of all areas of admission including professional development, staff compliance trainings, and creating efficiencies.
- Collaborate closely with the Vice President for Enrollment and with division and office leadership.
- Develop, implement,



and execute innovative, data‑driven strategies for recruitment, selection, and yield to support quality, quantity, net tuition revenue, and class composition goals.
- Create and maintain relationships with secondary schools, counselors, community and regional organizations, two‑year colleges, and campus partners to expand the College’s visibility and recruitment efforts.
- Guide the development and expansion of a visit program to build affinity and drive applications and enrollment.
- Collaborate with the Athletics Department and coaches in recruiting student athletes.
- Advise in building a culture that prioritizes belonging for all students.
- Provide comprehensive admissions annual reports.
- All other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree.
- Minimum of 10 years in progressively responsible positions in selective college admission and/or related fields with a record of success.
- Demonstrated success at managing, leading, and motivating others at a college or university.
- Knowledge of a liberal arts setting.
- Knowledge of a recruitment‑focused CRM.
- Excellent oral, written, interpersonal communication skills.




- Proficiency in Google Suite Products (Docs, Gmail, Sheets, Slides, Drive).
- Evidence of a commitment to community & belonging.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Successful interview.
- Successful completion of background checks.

Preferred Qualifications

- Master’s Degree.
- Prior senior leadership experience in admission at a selective public or private Liberal Arts college or university.
- Knowledge of Technolutions Slate and other educational enterprise system platforms.
