Job Description

About the role

We are currently accepting applications for a Chemist position in our Inorganics section, based at our newly built Canning Vale facility in Perth. This role involves conducting a range of chemical analyses on water and soil samples using advanced laboratory techniques and instrumentation. You will play a key role in sample preparation, instrumental analysis, data processing, and quality control.

We are particularly seeking candidates who are available to work the afternoon shift, commencing at midday , with flexibility to support the operational needs of the laboratory.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

- Sample Preparation & Analysis – Perform inorganicanalysis.




- Data Processing & LIMS Entry – Accurately interpret and report analytical results.
- Quality Control & Compliance – Ensure all testing meets strict laboratory and industry accreditation standards.
- Instrument Calibration & Maintenance – Conduct routine maintenance and troubleshooting of key analytical instruments.
- Laboratory Safety & Housekeeping – Maintain a safe, clean, and well-organised workspace.

Technical Documentation & Reporting – Ensure precise and timely documentation of all analyses

Desired Skills and Experience

About you

The ideal candidate will have:

- A Bachelor of Science (Chemistry preferred)
- Minimum 2 years of laboratory experience
- Strong analytical skills & attention to detail
- Experience with lab instrumentation such as an Autotitrator, DA or IC will be highly beneficial
- The ability to meet deadlines & thrive in a fast-paced workplace
- The ability to work both independently and as part of a team
