Kick‑Start Your Career as a Heavy Duty Plant Mechanic Apprentice
We are seeking enthusiastic individuals who are ready to commit to our 4 year Apprenticeship Program, where you'll gain the skills, experience, and nationally recognised qualification needed to become a qualified tradesperson.
What You'll Be Doing
Throughout the apprenticeship, you'll receive high-quality training and support, combining practical on-the-job experience with structured classroom learning. This comprehensive program is designed to equip you with the knowledge and confidence to successfully complete your trade qualification.
Working alongside experienced tradespeople, you will learn how to maintain, service, diagnose, and troubleshoot a wide range of heavy mobile mining equipment, including:
- 854 Wheel Dozers
- 994 and 995 Wheel Loaders
- 16H, 24H and 24M Graders
- Caterpillar 6090 and 6040 Hydraulic Excavators
The apprenticeship program will commence in February 2027 , with varied rosters across the 4 years.
About You
To be successful, you will:
- Hold a current C Class Driver's Licence (provisional licences accepted).
- Ideally have completed a Mechanical Pre‑Apprenticeship .
- Have a genuine interest in mechanics, engines, and heavy mobile equipment.
- Demonstrate a positive attitude, robust motivation, and a willingness to learn.
- Be committed to completing a four‑year apprenticeship and developing a long‑term career in the industry.
