Cloud Software Engineer (.NET / Azure / DevOps) – up to 225,000 Australia

Pearson Carter is working with a national technology-enabled legal services organisation delivering complex legal solutions at scale across Australia. Technology, automation, cloud platforms, and AI are central to their digital transformation strategy, with this role reporting directly to the Chief Information Officer (CIO).

Due to growth, they are hiring a Cloud Software Engineer to design, build, and operate cloud‑native applications and services using Microsoft Azure. This is a hands‑on engineering role working across modern API‑first architectures, enterprise applications, CI/CD pipelines, Azure infrastructure, and emerging AI solutions.

They offer an excellent salary of up to 225,000 and hybrid working, with the opportunity to contribute to major cloud transformation and AI initiatives.

Responsibilities

- Build and support Azure cloud applications and services
- Develop backend solutions using C#/.NET
- Design and secure REST APIs




- Build CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps/GitHub Actions
- Manage Azure infrastructure using Bicep (IaC)
- Support DevOps automation, monitoring, and deployments
- Contribute to AI initiatives involving LLMs, RAG, and AI agents

Experience

- Robust C# and .NET development experience
- Strong Microsoft Azure experience (Functions, App Services, Storage, Cosmos DB, Key Vault, API Management)
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
- Infrastructure as Code experience (Bicep preferred)
- REST API development and security experience
- Experience supporting enterprise production applications

Salary

Salary package: up to 225,000.

Location

Sydney / Melbourne / Brisbane (priority); other Australian locations considered (Hybrid).
