We are recruiting multiple ongoing/long term contract opportunities for experienced HR Specialists and Industrial Relations Specialists to support a large, operational organisation with a geographically dispersed workforce across Regional Queensland.

These are hands‑on roles suited to professionals who enjoy working alongside leaders, building capability and providing practical advice within a fast‑paced, blue‑collar environment. You'll become part of a team-oriented People & Culture team supporting a business undergoing significant operational and organisational change.

Industrial Relations Specialist

This is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced Industrial Relations professional who enjoys operating in a complex, highly unionised, blue‑collar environment. You'll partner closely with operational leaders, HR colleagues and employee representatives, providing practical advice across enterprise agreement interpretation, industrial disputes, union engagement, enterprise bargaining and individual case management. You'll play a key role in supporting leaders through complex industrial issues while helping build positive workplace relationships and delivering commercially sound, pragmatic outcomes.

HR Specialist

As a senior HR practitioner, you'll provide hands‑on support to leaders across a broad range of workforce matters while helping strengthen leadership capability and uplift the People & Culture function. Working closely with operational teams, you'll coach leaders through employee relations matters, performance management, organisational change and workforce initiatives,



while also supporting the broader HR team through mentoring, collaboration and practical business partnering. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys being visible within the business, building trusted relationships and delivering practical outcomes in a fast‑paced operational environment.

About You

You'll be an experienced HR or Industrial Relations professional with a practical, solutions‑focused approach and a genuine passion for supporting leaders in complex operational environments. Your ability to build trusted relationships, coach leaders through challenging people matters and provide balanced, commercially sound advice will be complemented by excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills. Experience within heavy industry, mining, manufacturing, resources, transport, logistics, ports, utilities, infrastructure or other blue‑collar operational environments will be highly regarded, particularly where you've supported geographically dispersed workforces and leadership teams.

Hybrid Working & Regional Travel

These positions offer genuine hybrid working arrangements, combined with regular travel to regional operations. Time spent on site will be essential to building trusted relationships with leaders and frontline teams, understanding the operational environment and providing practical, hands‑on support where it matters most.
