Senior Legal Counsel – Funds & Financial Services. Duration is 6‑month secondment with a potential to extend further.

Responsibilities

- Lead and manage complex legal transactions and strategic projects,



including Fund establishment and wind‑down, Product development initiatives, corporate restructurings, M&A; and financing activities
- Provide legal oversight of investment funds, including: Fund documentation (e.g. constitutions, trust deeds, disclosure materials), Ongoing operational and compliance matters, Distribution and investor arrangements
- Draft, review, and negotiate a broad range of complex commercial and financial services agreements, including: Investment management and distribution agreements, Custody and administration arrangements, Vendor and service provider contracts, Confidentiality and regulatory documentation
- Monitor and interpret legislative and regulatory developments across relevant jurisdictions, providing clear and actionable advice to the business.

Requirements

- Qualified lawyer with 10-15 post‑qualification experience (ideally gained in law firms and/or in‑house environments).
- Sound knowledge of ASIC regulations.
- Solid experience in asset management, or financial services regulation.
- Strong drafting, negotiation, and analytical capabilities.
