The Role

As Senior Practice Adviser, you will support the Statewide Practice Leadership Unit within the Office of Professional Practice. The role promotes and supports cultural safety and self-determination for Aboriginal children and families by providing practice leadership, policy and practice development, and implementing key projects.

The role also engages with Aboriginal organisations and key stakeholders to discuss service and system challenges and strengths, and how these can support improved practice and service engagement and access for Aboriginal children and their families.

Accountabilities Include

- Provide advice on complex cases,



policy and practice initiatives and any potential impact on Aboriginal children and families.
- Support development and implementation of practice initiatives aimed at improving culturally safe practice with Aboriginal children and families.
- Provide practice leadership and be involved in decision making processes, based on sound practice expertise that delivers positive outcomes for Aboriginal Children and Families.
