Job Description

This is a highly technical and customer‑facing role, providing primarily post‑sales consulting delivery under the HPE Networking HTS/PS APJ Team. The consultant delivers architectural, design, and implementation consultancy services for HPE Juniper Networks Products and Solutions, driving overall customer solution development and delivery to meet business objectives while managing scope and effort. The consultant also manages deviations to scope as part of change management.

Your Key Responsibilities

- Work closely with Account teams and Project delivery teams to enable customer consumption of standard PS offerings through Firm Fixed Statement of Work engagements or Time and Material engagements.
- Collaborate with Customers, Sales, Account, and Business Development teams to understand unique use cases and desired outcomes for proper positioning of PS offerings.
- Provide integration of multiple PS offers into solutions for customers.
- Collaborate with the customer on alignment/inclusion of Juniper solutions into Customer’s Enterprise Architecture.
- Consult and collaborate with multiple internal and external parties to understand business and technical requirements, and provide, develop, deploy, and integrate solutions.
- Present and deliver solutions via projects; basic project management may be required, e.g., scope, effort, time, and problem management.
- Subject‑Matter Expert in one or more HPE Juniper Networks products/solutions, preferably in the Service Provider space.
- Create or develop marketable and deployable solutions based on HPE Juniper Networks products/solutions.
- Produce high‑quality documentation and/or presentations to share knowledge and experience, improving PS effectiveness and efficiency.
- Consult customers to assess technical needs, conduct gap analysis, and recommend solutions to address business requirements.




- Create high‑level and low‑level network design documentation.
- Contribute to team objectives and aim to achieve goals efficiently.
- Provide technical and non‑technical leadership and guidance to junior consultants or colleagues.
- Be prepared to travel as necessary for customer engagements.
- Willingly and consistently share knowledge through TOI and Lessons Learned to improve the team.

About You

- Australian Citizen only, as eligibility to obtain a valid Government Security clearance is required.
- Extensive experience delivering large‑scale network solutions in the Service Provider and/or Enterprise customer space.
- Deep knowledge of protocols and technologies such as BGP, OSPF, ISIS, SR‑MPLS, SRv6, L3VPN, EVPN, VXLAN, CoS.
- Experience deploying HPE Juniper platforms including MX, PTX, EX, QFX and SRX.
- General understanding of HPE Juniper security solutions and technologies.
- Experience with network automation and orchestration tools, and ability to select appropriate tools for use cases.
- Professional Services consulting and business consulting experience, including conflict management, negotiation, stakeholder management, and hands‑on delivery of technical projects.
- Excellent understanding of the industry, customer business issues, and appropriate solution architecture.
- Strong architectural background including plan, design, and implementation phases and best‑practice adoption.
- Ability to bridge business imperatives and technical solutions to deliver business goals.
- Operates autonomously or under direction as required; decides best approach.

- Ensures best‑practice methods for scoping and delivery of new technology and solutions.

- Works on significant and unique issues requiring evaluation of intangibles.
- Exercises independent judgment to obtain best results for the customer environment.
- Willing to work face‑to‑face with customers and internal teams to build trust and strengthen relationships.

Supervision

- Generally required to perform work with minimal supervision.
- Acts independently to determine methods and procedures on new or special assignments.
- Possibly supervises activities of other consultants assigned to deliver solutions.

Experience

- Typically requires 12‑15 years of related network experience.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or Computer/Electrical Engineering.
- Business‑related qualifications and product certifications on specific solutions in consult‑sion areas.
- Expert‑level (JNCIE, CCIE) networking certifications are desired as appropriate.
